The departmental tours

Travelling the states of India...
                            everything ready, :D
                                          but wait.. .. what to wear! :-S
Kurta- Big Bazzar stores (nation wide);
Bag- wildcraft;
 Pants- honey;
kolapuris- any local shoe shop.

If you are one of those who is consistently bothered by the question  "what to wear" while you stand in front of your wardrobe every morning or when packing for that trip with friends.If so, probably this is something that needs your attention. This might just be the end of your fashion problems

KURTAS !!!

Yes!
Kurtas- Welcome the comfortable and light answer as answer to your worries. Kurtas serve you in ways more than one; from hiding that not-so-toned belly to be your saviour in the hot and cruel Indian heat, this simple piece of clothing does it all!

And here comes the best part of wearing a kurta, you can look amazingly simple and fashionable at the same time. You don't need to transform yourselves but is is our very own 'kurta' that modifies itself as per your whims and wishes... ;)

How can I forget to mention the ease with which you can carry a kurta without making any special efforts. A cotton/ khadi kurta paired with white/cream skinny pants and kolhapuris and you are ready to go ~

100% cotton kurtas are available within the price range of  Rs. 350- 1500
My best kurta shopping stores include the FAB INDIA and Fashion@ BIG BAZAAR stores nationwide
So super comfortable, I fall in love with it all over again each time i wear one!

A picture speaks louder than words.
In Jaipur, wearing a black kurta ready to explore the 'pink city'

I end up wearing a kurta most of the times to my classes. For those early morning classes, when you are running against time, a kurta is real friend in need. Its quick to wear and does not need much care as such.No iron needed, maybe a good perfume is all one needs! ;)

Kurta- big bazar stores nation wide
Half sleeve cardigan- kitdash

Now one can not ignore their easy availability at affordable prices ;without any compromise in variety. Available in most vibrant colours and fabrics is the fun part.  U name it, and yes! its there for you- yellow green, grey and even pink.

Let others' go green with envy!

wondering how one can wear kurtas in winters, the solution was readily available in front of me; a cardigan over it and its done...  super comfortable actually.
Keep experimenting and who knows when you just fall in love with the age old Indian gift to world of fashion! <3

while in India do what the Indians do ;)

Delhi, the city famous for its food,and its cultural diversity among various things had loads to offer us when it comes to Fashion. It is one of the best places on earth to get good clothes in best prices. Delhi, not only, it is the emerging fashion capital of the country catering to the luxury needs of the people, it does not neglect the  people who like to go easy on pocket while not compromising on fashion as well including by and large the young college going crown among others!

Janpath in Connaught Place[Rajiv Chowk Metro station] and SN (Sarojini Nagar) market [near INA metro station] are the best known flea markets of Delhi...But a word of caution is necessary when you are shopping ,BARGAIN IS A MUST or else they (the sellers) will end up ripping you off and will end up celebrating at your expense.

The Jeans is from Levis,  but everything else was bought from the flea markets of Dilli  for
 price ranging from rs (150-500).
Get your clothes on, find a friend with a camera, make a pose and then CLICK !!!
a 'LOOKBOOK' ready picture (picture above).
One of the many flea shops, Sarojini Nagar

A bit of  careful searching through the huge piles of clothes, battling the weather conditions and the huge crowd is all it takes . But these markets won't disappoint you if you have an eye for fashion. even  after you shop to your heart's content, you'll be surprised to still have enough money to eat the dumplings in and around the market or buy that accessory you have had your eyes on. Now that is what you call street smart!

Shopping in Connaught Place with friends.

Sometimes all you need to do is just look around.
Maybe the one thing you always wanted is right next to you, just a bit cheaper ;)
(wink)
happy searching.
